The place to take your family on holiday in Puerto Pollensa

Majorca family resort

There are many beautiful places to stay in Majorca; golf hotels, cycling hotels, adults only... there are also a wealth of family friendly resorts on the beach and in the coastal towns and villages - resorts for every kind of holiday.

Our Majorca family resort is in Puerto Pollensa, far up the coast, in the north of the island. This is where we think you get the best family holidays in Majorca.

Majorca family resort par excellence - Puerto Pollensa

A rare combination of location, climate and design make Puerto Pollensa remarkably well suited to Majorca family resort holidays, demonstrated every year by its enormous appeal and popularity as one of the most revisited family resorts on the island.

Majorca family resort in an ideal location

The largest settlement on the far northern corner of Majorca, Puerto Pollensa rests peacefully on the vast open Bay of Pollensa, a horseshoe shaped natural harbour set against the dramatic mountain backdrop of the Serra de Tramuntana. Beyond, to the north of the resort, there is the Formentor Peninsula with its mile long beach and exclusive homes and 8 km inland is the old town of Pollensa.

As a top Majorca family resort, our hotel in Puerto Pollensa ticks all the boxes; safe, friendly and by the sea, near town and beaches, near restaurants, quiet and well equipped, this is without doubt a place to take your family on holiday.

Majorca family resort in an ideal climate

Not only is our Majorca family resort in Puerto Pollensa set in a privileged location, but it also enjoys an excellent climate, thanks to a large extent to the protective nature of the mountains. 300 days of sunshine a year is really not an exaggeration. It does rain of course, or the island would be baked dry, and when it rains it really pours, but rarely and concentrated into a few short winter months.

Long warm days stretch seamlessly between April and November, though it can be perfectly clear and sunny as early as March and the evenings are balmy. As a Majorca family resort this means that if you can get the kids to embrace the Majorcan siesta, you will enjoy hot summer days and relaxed dinners alfresco on the terrace or in town at one of the pavement cafes and restaurants.

If you were to custom build a Majorca family resort you may well come up with our Puerto Pollensa hotel

Largely pedestrianised, our Majorca family resort is safe for children to walk freely and the beaches are shallow and clean. Beachside cafes provide snacks and drinks throughout the day and way into the night so parents can enjoy themselves too.

To one side of Puerto Pollensa, in this Majorca family resort, is the highly photographed Pine Walk, a pebbled promenade which runs along the sea front from the marina to the lighthouse and a lively beach spot by day and popular strolling ground in the evening. Small jettys divide the coastline into tiny beaches with plenty of snorkelling opportunities and pine shaded areas to shelter in the hottest hours of the day.

In the Majorca family resort itself, there is a typical public square with a kid's playground to one side and a wealth of varied and wonderful places to eat and drink.
