Fun things to do in Port de Pollensa with kids
How to keep the kids happy on holiday in Port de Pollensa
With days out, water parks, adventure sports and lots of fun things to do
Call it what you like; Port de Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa, Port Pollença, Eu Moll... It is known the world over, famed and ridiculed in equal measure and visited by millions every year. This little coastal village-resort in the Mediterranean, on the largest of the Balearic Islands is a family paradise, a great place for a holiday with lots of activities, sports and fun things to do with children and teens.
Mallorca welcomes kids, and Port de Pollensa excels at it. That's the first discovery you will make. Children are welcomed everywhere, even in the places they shouldn't be, necessarily, but you will be grateful for this as it means you can dine out late with a rabble of toddlers and noone will bat an eyelid. Kids are welcome in restaurants, late at night, in concerts, at the cinema. But there are also lots of things to do in Port de Pollensa with kids, for kids.
Here are a few ideas on cool things to do with the younger members of the family, that the adults may well like too!
Fun things to do with kids in Port de Pollensa
Largely dependent on the age of your children, time of year you are on holiday and personal interests, there are millions of things to do with kids in Port de Pollensa that everyone can enjoy.
These are some of the things we think you will like best, either because they are near DUVA hotel or because kids genuinely love them.
A Floating Water Park
This is possibly the best activity for a day out with kids in Port de Pollensa. It is fun, easy, available to anyone, relatively affordable and a great workout.
Located just a short walk or drive from our hotel in Port de Pollensa, in the magnificent bay, about 200 metres out to sea, you will find this floating water park. Just trying to keep them away is difficult enough, but once you agree to let them go, you will have a hard time getting them off it again. If the kids are old enough, it is fabulously exhausting and athletic entertainment. But if your children are too young to go alone, one parent will have to join them. Prepare for days of wobbly legs.
A floating assault course in inflatable rubber with slides, pools and ropes, it is the perfect beach entertainment. The kids get given lifejackets and are sent swimming to the park. There is a rope connecting it to shore so they can also pull themselves along if they get tired. And you, the adult can sit in a beach cafe in the sand and watch them for an hour.
The Formentor Ferry

Our second day out with kids in Port de Pollensa takes us from Port de Pollensa to Formentor Beach.
Formentor beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and certainly the crown jewel of the northn coast of Mallorca.
Though Formentor is near Port de Pollensa, the drive is hairy, up over the mountain ridge, winding and steep. Not ideal with kids, especially if they get car sick. There is however a much better way of getting there and it is easy, cheap and fun; by boat!
This is the regular ferry called La Gaviota, which runs daily between Port de Pollensa and Playa de Formentor.
Ferry times from Port de Pollensa to Formentor are: 11.00 – 12.00 – 13.00 – 15.00 – 16.00 h. Return times from Formentor to Port de Pollensa are: 11.30 – 12.30 – 13.30 – 15.30 – 16.30 h.
Prices are 13, 50 € for adults and 6, 75 € for children there and back.
The Jungle Park
For our third day out with kids in Port de Pollensa we suggest a trip a little further afield, to the other side of the island.
This tarzan tree top adventure park is set in 9 hectares of pine forest, 500 metres from the beach, in Santa Ponsa, in the south of Mallorca.
There are 123 platforms built into the trees making up 3 different circuits of varying difficulties with bridges, swings, ladders and zip lines, all set at different heights.
The Pirate circuit is for children 4 years and over and the 2 other courses: Explorer and Extreme, are for adults and accompanied older kids.
The Jungle park is open everyday apart from Mondays, from 10 am to 6 pm.
The price for one hour on the Pirate course is 14 € and 18 € for the two more difficult cicuits.

Palma Jump Park
Tip number four on things to do with kids in Port de Pollensa is a 45 minute drive from our hotel, in the capital Palma.
Recently opened in Palma, Mallorca's first indoor trampoline park is a great place to go on a rainy day or for a special occasion, and is becoming popular as a birthday party or event venue in Mallorca.
Open 7 days a week, you can jump from wall to wall and use all park facilities, including activities such as walking the wall (Walk the Wall), field dodgeball, and airbags to practice your tricks, slam dunk, slack lines and more.
There is a small ninjas area for under-fives where custodian adults enter free, a VIP viewing area for adults and fitness classes.
One hour costs 10 €.

The Alcudia Hidropark
For our 5th tip on things to do with kids in Port de Pollensa, we propose a day out at the water park in Alcudia.
