Mallorca Ironman 70.3 Thomas Cook Alcudia

Sports events, triathlons and now the Alcudia Ironman 70.3, Mallorca's top sporting event in May

The Thomas Cook Mallorca Iron Man 70.3 takes place every May, in Alcudia, a fascinating medieval town with 30 km of sandy beaches on Mallorca's northeastern coast. Alcudia's vast safe bay is the venue for the swim, followed by the cycle up into the Serra de Tramuntana mountains to the north of Alcudia and finally the run, which takes place along and around Alcudia town and beach.

The BIG SWIM-CYCLE-RUN

The 1.2 mile (1.9 Km) swim course is located in the port area of Alcudia, where the water temperature is about 19ºC (66ºF) in May and the sea is fairly shallow and completely safe.

The 56 mile (90 Km) bike course goes from Alcudia to Pollensa and up into the mountains to the Lluc monastery in a challenging up and downhill one loop course with long flats.

The 13.1 mile (21.1 Km) run is a flat 3 loop course along the wonderful beach of Alcudia. The finish line is located in the harbour area, about 500 meters from the swim start.
