Puerto Pollensa Beach Bar and Cycling Cafe

Sea.Bar.Is, Puerto Pollensa -  Cycling Restaurants in Majorca

As we are based in Puerto Pollensa and hope you will be too, I will start my list here, in town. Sea.Bar.Is is no ordinary cycling restaurant; it is stylish to a fault, serves delicious food and cocktails and is superbly set infront of the sea, on the road that leads out of Puerto Pollensa towards Alcudia. Built in the style of a ship, you can sit outdoors under the awning, cooled by the sea breeze, bike safely parked beside you and re fuel. The best of all are their special cycling breakfasts designed to set you up for a day on the saddle, full of nutritious and healthy ingredients and mouth wateringly good.

Puerto Pollensa's Oldest Cycling Restaurant

Tolo's Puerto Pollensa -  Cycling Restaurants in Majorca

Tolo's is one of the most longstanding cycling restaurants in Majorca and popular meeting point in the north of the island. Cafe and restaurant Bar Tolo's has become an establishment in cycling circles and a popular place to meet, stop and end a day on your bike. It is a family run restaurant on the seafront in Puerto Pollensa, with a large open terrace and plenty of bike parking space, open from the beginning of February until the end of October they serve breakfast, lunch and supper, particularly good paella and fresh Mediterranean food.

Magical cycling restaurant in Lluc

Es Guix, Lluc - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

Possibly one of the most important restaurants in Majorca's Tramuntana, Es Guix is as high end cycling restaurant in Majorca as you get and mentioned here because I think everyone should try it at least once and because it is so well situated, 500 m from the Inca-Soller-Lluc crossroads, 2 Km outside LLuc and hidden within a dense pine forest. It is undoubtedly one of the most magical settings for a restaurant and the food is exquiste, specialties are lamb and traditional Majorca rice dishes. You sit in or outdoors on the stone terrace overlooking a natural pool fed by the the Tramuntana streams. Closed on Tuesdays.

Traditional restaurant in the Tramuntana Mountains

Can Topa, Bunyola - Cycling restaurants in Majorca.

You will find C'an Topa on the Palma to Soller road ( Ma 11-A ) at Km 22,1, high up in the Tramuntana Mountains at the top of Coll de Soller at 497 metres. In fact the sign post is right outside the restaurant. If you are coming from the town of Soller it is a 7.4km, many hairpins and delightfully traffic free, as most cars take the tunnel, which incidentally doesn't allow bicycles through. Set in a marvellous location, Can Topa is one of the perfect cycling restaurants in Majorca. Once you make it up the mountain, you will find yourself in a trendy jazz bar in an old rustic Mallorcan finca with a pool and terrace, plenty of space for bikes and large groups, and delicious snacks, fresh pasta, burgers and home made cakes. A perfect refueling spot.

Beach cafe on La Vittoria cycling route

Cycling restaurants in Majorca

S'illot, La Vittoria - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

To get to S'illot, one of the most beautifully located of all the cycling restaurants in Majorca, will require a slight detour on most cycling routes passing through Alcudia, but the extra 3,5 kilometres to la Vittoria will seem worth it once you arrive. The restaurant has changed hands many times over the years but remains above all a wonderful place to stop. Set on the cliff above the sea, it has commanding views over the entire Bay of Pollensa and the mountain ridges of the Tramuntana and below the restaurant there are a few tiny pebbled beaches if you want a dip. Prices have escalated with the latest owners and new decor, but it is still great as a place, even if you just want a beer or coffee and cake

Traditional Lamb restaurant on the Alaró Mountain

Cycling restaurants in Majorca

Es Verger, Alaro - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

It doesn't look like much, but Es Verger is about as traditional and quirky as you get and not one of your usual cycling restaurants in Majorca. Set up on the side of the Puig de Alaro Mountain, on the way up to the castle on the summit you come across this unlikely locale, part farmhouse, part ramshackle shed, with a sign warning no dogs are permitted as livestock roams free. Inside, guests dine alongside eachother on the few long wooden tables. But none of this matters in the least when you try the local specialty; roast shoulder of lamb washed down with red wine. Be warned that this cycling restaurant in Majorca doesn't accept credit cards.

Beach Cafe on Playa de Muro

Cycling restaurants in Mallorca

Can Gavella, Playa de Muro - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

Right on the beach, feet in the sand, this is for cycling holidays in the summer, late spring and early autumn, while it is still not too windy to sit on the beach.

Can Gavella is set in a magical location with commanding sea views and serves a delicious array of dishes; seafood, tapas and healthy snacks, perfect for a cycling stop in the Alcudia area.

In the peak season you will need to reserve a table in advance but in the cycling season you are probably ok to just show up. Open everyday of the week.

Top cycling restaurant in Port Soller

Cycling restaurants in Majorca - Kingfisher

Kingfisher, Port Soller - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

Fresh and delicious Mediterranean cuisine with lots of seafood, fish and pasta dishes, great local wines and good service, the restaurant is located in the Port of Soller, near the marina with commanding views over the boats and the bay.

It is a great place for a lunch stop on route, food is good and the views are wonderful, prices are accordingly high.

Rated highly on TripAdvisor, the Kingfisher is one of the all time favourite cycling restaurants in Majorca for Tramuntana tours.

Sineu's favourite Italian restaurants

Tomassini - Cycling restaurants in Mallorca

Tomassini, Sineu - Cycling restaurants in Majorca

If you are planning on cycling in Mallorca you will probably be passing Sineu at some point. Though the town has plenty of eateries and lots of choice around the main square, there is one restaurant that sticks out from the rest.

Next to the train station, just a few roads back from the plaza you will find this unlikely Italian restaurant.

It has grown quite a following with locals, has lots of indoor seating space and serves huge portions, great for a lunchtime break. It also has the most fighteningly hot and spicy oil you will ever taste, if you dare!
